How to Optimize Your Website!

You’ve probably heard about the benefits of local SEO but don’t know how to optimize your website for local SERPs. The good news is that it’s easy to do. Keyword research tools such as Ahrefs’ Keywords Explorer can help you find relevant keywords with high search volume. One common mistake people make is failing to align their content with search intent. For instance, Google’s search results will be different if you type in “slow cooker recipes”, or “slow cooker” instead of “slow cooker recipes.” While both terms have the same intent, Google’s ranking algorithm interprets them differently.

In order to determine the most relevant search results, Google spiders examine the links between websites. Websites with more inbound links are considered relevant and important and therefore will rank higher in web searches. Even if a page has only one inbound link, it is still a good idea to link to it. This will help increase your website’s authority in the eyes of Google. However, remember to keep your content at an 8th grade reading level and short paragraphs.

Using internal links is another effective way to improve your website’s search engine rankings. Google crawls your website if it contains a back link to an external site. Internal links are not crawled by Google if they are no follow. By linking to external websites, you’ll improve your search results. Google also uses these links to rank your website. If you don’t use internal links, Google won’t index your site in their index.
